Italy loses to Spain on PK's, ending their Euro 2008 bid

Really a shame, because they could have easily taken Russia to get to the final match had they made it past Spain. Their defense was typically excellent, but they couldn't get it together on offense despite some late runs. Shame...now they need to focus on World Cup 2010. I like Donadoni so I hope they don't blame this loss on the coach. They need to get younger during the qualification rounds (starting in August 2008) and develop some of their better, younger talent in order to become a force again two summers from now.
